A quick preface; I wrote this story with one idea in mind, which quickly evolved into many different ideas and directions. For me, this is just one of the many ways of understanding "the sun that sets and rises". Please, bastardize the story's meaning to your heart's content!

Being alive means to be perpetually put through the wash and dry cycle by the universe. It's a disorienting experience, but all apart of the design nonetheless. Without a reason to be sad we wouldn't have a reason to be happy because to be alive is to constantly be in a state of changing. In following her through the landscape, Dalisay becomes the one constant in Aubrey's life, in that there will always be another day to do something differently, or maybe try the same thing again. Or maybe she's something like a personification of death, both motivating and paralyzing. But I digress. The point is, it's all apart of life. Everything is a phase, and that's what makes it all beautiful. The bad things will always pass and so will the good, so stick around for as long as you can, and bask in the holistic experience that is being alive!
