Walk with Me

Eirini Abadeer

During this pandemic many of us have and are still quarantining at home, at this time I thought of how much I missed buildings like my church, the mall, local hair salons and even my school. Looking outside these buildings and places without the ability to go did not have the same effect as immersing myself in nature did. By being forced to stay at home and being limited to outdoor walks I managed to fall in love with what I once thought was my enemy.Nature, old muddy grass stains no internet Nature. Weirdly the lack of people and building interiors immersed me in an uncomfortable setting that I worked to get more comfortable and appreciative of. I hope that these images of nature and outside walks will help immerse viewers as well in a less harsh light and in a hopeful manner people can build their imagination on. Nature while mundane at first can fuel so much more creativity and bring us back to a time when we were younger. I hope this work can give viewers a look into different trails and have them walk through nature virtually with me and my camera lens.
