The Study of Everyday (2021) is a mock video lecture hosted by myself. The content is similar to what one might find if they enrolled in a geography course. The key difference being that the places I attempt to "teach" you about do not physically exist. The world that I take the viewer too is a representation of my day and how I feel at different parts of it. I attempt to answer the question "What if my mind was a place you could travel through?". This work touches on themes of science fiction, imagination and mental health. The last aspect being particularly relevant to this year's exhibition theme as going through my day means that you get a window into my mind. How vulnerable or confident I feel at any given point. I hope that this project, intensely intimate as it is, will still be relatable to other people who might see parts of their own days in mine. With the COVID-19 pandemic restricting us to our homes, it would be intriguing for people to "travel" through their own minds.
