Aissatou Nesta Badio

Aissatou Nesta Badio's work aims to explore and question the identity of individuals, more specifically women, with international backgrounds. Therefore, her work consist mainly of Portraits. Using people as the main subject matter of her work, her idea was to represent and show my subject’s cultural identity. Even if her works are only portraits, the messages portrayed and the personal experiences that her subjects went through are things a lot of other people can relate to. The struggle of being exposed to multiple cultures; and internal struggles to find your identity is something she assumes experienced by a lot of people.
